![]() The opening Iraq section, sound designed by Jean-Louis Decarme, is the segment of the film that resonates with me hardest. The sound design of the whole film is deceptive-it’s hard to think of specific scored moments aside from “Tubular Bells.” The Exorcist, released in 1973, has a unique sonic identity that caused shockwaves throughout the classics of the genre and even English language cinema itself.
